We, the undersigned, are calling on state lawmakers to end decades of failed punitive prohibition policies by legalizing marijuana for recreational use in New York. Legalizing cannabis creates an opportunity to help repair the communities hit hardest by the disastrous war on marijauana. It also has the potential to create a multi-billion dollar market, tens of thousands of new jobs, and generate hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue for the state.
